Welcome!

Welcome to the first official post!

I want to start by saying that I am by no means a writer. I intend to write this blog from my point of view, in my voice. I am a Mother, Wife, Physician Assistant, Nutrition fanatic, Fitness junkie, and all around an pretty fun girl. I created this blog as an outlet for sharing my life, particularly my enthusiasm for health, nutrition, fitness, and feeding my family.

I am a 36 year old mother of 3 young boys (ages 8, 5, and 3). I have been eating Paleo for almost 2 years now. It has made a world of difference in my life. My kids have dabbled in Paleo here and there but overall have never been 100% Paleo. After a tough bought with his colitis in December, I decided that my 8 year old son needs to change the way he eats. Permanently. A lot of what I plan to write about here is our transition of his diet. I will chronicle taking a picky 8 year old boy from a standard american diet to a Paleo diet. Its not going to be easy, but if we do it with the right attitude, and nurture his association between what he eats and how he feels, we will succeed. The way we are approaching it is how we believe will yield us the most cooperation, enthusiasm, and positive feelings from him. We will be taking it in baby steps, and really focusing on what works for him (and his 2 younger brothers).

Stay tuned!! Lots of fun recipes, ideas, and stories coming soon…
